Copenhagen Gløgg Guide

Copenhagen Gløgg Guide

To survive the cold, we think the best medicine is mulled wine.
Gløgg is the Danish version of mold wine, and to us, it smells like Christmas.
Therefore we have visited 4 of our favorite places to make you a little guide to mulled wine, for 4 different occasions.
The Classic - Granola at Værnedamsvej makes the perfect classic Gløgg, and the atmosphere is perfect for your Christmas mood.
Perfectly sweet with raisins and almonds, and a biscuit on the side.
The Modern - Riga at Dannebrogsgade has made a spicy mulled wine for the holiday season. It's seasoned with ginger and chili, and does wonders for a cold throat. Riga has put out a ton of colored lamps and furry blankets, so you can visit the outdoor bar even in Christmas time.
The fancy - Veranda wine bar makes a fancy lil cup of mulled wine.
It´sa bit more pungent, but warms you up after a long day of work or walking.
To Go - The last two winters we have gotten used to only seeing our friends outdoors, and mulled wine to go has become a little favourite.
Enghave plads 9 is a mix between a window and a wine bar, and therefore perfect when you couldn't sit inside, and after that we just fell in love with walking while drinking a cup of warm mulled wine.
