Copenhagen Gløgg Guide

Copenhagen Gløgg Guide

To survive the cold, we think the best medicine is Gløgg.
Gløgg is the a danish version of mold wine, and to us, it smells like Christmas.
Therefore we have visited 4 of our favourite places to make you a little guide to gløgg, for 4 different occasions.
The Classic - Granola at Værnedamsvej makes the perfect classic Gløgg, and the atmosphere is perfect for your Christmas mood.
Perfectly sweet with raisins and almonds, and a biscuit on the side.
The Modern - Riga at Dannebrogsgade has made a spicy gløgg for the holiday season. It's seasoned with ginger and chili, and does wonders for a cold throat. Riga has put out a ton of colored lamps and furry blankets, so you can visit the outdoor bar even in Christmas time.
The fancy - Veranda wine bar makes a fancy lil cup of gløgg.
It´s a bit more pungent, but warms you up after a long day of work or walking.
To Go - The last two winters we have gotten used to only seeing our friends outdoors, and gløgg to go has become a little favourite.
Enghave plads 9 is a mix between a window and a wine bar, and therefore perfect when you couldn't sit inside, and after that we just fell in love with walking while drinking a cup of warm gløgg.
